Beijing Sees "Snow Wolf Lake" on New Year's Eve

Musical fans in Beijing were treated to a memorable New Years Eve event when acclaimed Hong Kong singer and actor Jackie Cheung staged his spectacular and moving musical, "Snow Wolf Lake".

The show has not been performed for seven years, and is said to be one of the most important artistic creations in China. Audiences often react emotionally to the musical. After watching the music drama, some fans and lovers promised that they would treasure their love forever, just as the title of the theme song says "Love is Forever".

Nearly all of the tickets, from 380 yuan to more than 2000 yuan, were sold out, which showed that the musical was warmly welcomed by Beijing fans. The Chinese folk singer Tang Can made her debut as a pop singer and lead actress. But the loudest applauses were given to Jackie Cheung.

Fans say there were some differences between Jackie Cheung's performance today and seven years ago, when Jackie Cheung decided to leave the singing circle. One fan said that he was more than a king of songs, as he jointly showed his perfect acting skills and singing charm in an excellent musical, proving his box office pull.

To the theme song "Love is Forever", the tragic love story ends with the death of the lead actress. All of the cast and crew appeared on the stage with fans waving bright grow sticks to them and screaming the name of their idol. Excitedly waved to the audience and saying happy a new year to Beijing people, Jackie Cheung lowered the curtains of his perfect show.
